Summer Near Bull Run

It was mid-day in August and I had time to paint for a couple of hours. Fortunately I had my gear in the car. It was surprisingly nice out for August but I don’t like to paint when the sun is over head. It was a challenge. I found a small tree and set up under the branches so the painting and I were both in the shade. This very simple painting was a joy to paint.
