It is from a favorite movie! The movie wasn't filmed in India, it was filmed in the Alabama Hills, Lone Pine, California. This particular group for rocks, with Mt Whitney in the distance, became the filming location of many westerns, Sci-fi's and other productions.
These unusual outcropping of rocks are stunningly beautiful! I'm happy to paint them anytime.
